Privacy Policy
Last updated October 6, 2026
Virtualization 24/7 (virtualization247.com) is a personal technical blog run by Byron Zepeda in California. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, by whom, and the choices you have.
The short version
- There are no accounts, logins, or comment forms on this site, and the site itself doesn’t set cookies.
- Third-party services the site relies on (hosting, advertising, affiliate programs, embedded videos, and the newsletter) may collect information under their own privacy policies, described below.
- I don’t sell your personal information.
Information you give me
If you email me or subscribe to the newsletter, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. I use it only to reply to you or send the newsletter, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.
Hosting (Cloudflare)
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request information (such as your browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. For more detail, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Affiliate links
Some links to products are affiliate links, including links to Amazon as part of the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. If you click one, the retailer may set a cookie so a purchase can be credited to this site. I receive only aggregate reports of sales, not your name or what you bought. See the Affiliate Disclosure.
Embedded videos (YouTube)
Some articles embed YouTube videos using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which doesn’t set cookies until you play the video. Once you play one, YouTube’s privacy policy applies.
Newsletter
The newsletter is delivered through Beehiiv, which stores your email address and records whether messages are opened. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link. See Beehiiv’s privacy policy.
Do Not Track
Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. This site doesn’t change its behavior in response to it, but you can control advertising cookies using the opt-out links above.
Children
This site is written for IT professionals and isn’t directed at children under 13. I don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Union), you may have the right to know what personal information is held about you, and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Email me and I’ll help. For data held by the services above, use their privacy tools or contact them directly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
